Tide of Love : Episode 5

Bound by a contract of desire, art student Hae-jun becomes tied to cold heir Jae-hoon. Between control and temptation, will this transaction turn into forbidden love?

Jae-hoon’s gentle yet coercive control traps Hae-jun between feelings of being cherished and confined, while Hae-jun makes his first bold move to cross the boundaries of their contract.

Hae-jun extends the contract as he struggles between money, dignity, and forbidden temptation. But when a friend begins to bring up suspicions, guilt quietly rises to the surface.

Jae-hoon’s growing need for control leads him to monitor Hae-jun’s interactions with his friend. When Hae-jun tries to resist, Jae-hoon traps him in an almost forceful embrace…

Under Jae-hoon’s strict cohabitation rules, Hae-jun is punished for coming home late but soon he’s met with Jae-hoon’s kiss.

It was the first time in Jae-hoon's life someone celebrated his birthday; Hae-jun's promise, like the sweetest spell, bound him tightly.

Jae-hoon commands Hae-jun to repeatedly write his own name. From body to mind, he is determined to completely possess everything about Hae-jun.

When the hospital sends critical information regarding Hae-jun’s mother, he is overwhelmed with pain. Jae-hoon promises to stay by his side, no matter what.

Jae-hoon and Hae-jun agree a new contract —this time, a romance contract. Its terms are simple: “Say ‘I love you’ three times a day—once in the morning, once at noon, and once before bed.”

After Hae-jun and Jae-hoon begin dating, they celebrate their first Christmas together. Under Jae-hoon’s carefully planned surprise, the two arrive at a private seaside villa. There, Jae-hoon presents Hae-jun with an anklet—an intimate symbol of devotion and control—asking him to always remain within his sight.

An uninvited visitor, Kang Su-hyeok, suddenly appears and reveals Jae-hoon’s possessive control and the childhood trauma Jae-hoon refuses to confront to Hae-jun. With a third party stepping into their world, will the relationship between Ha-jun and Jae-hoon begin to change?

Ha-jun meets Su-hyeok at a bar, hoping to learn more about Jae-hoon’s past. But when Jae-hoon discovers Ha-jun went out behind his back, his possessiveness spirals out of control. What was once a sweet relationship quickly begins to fall apart.

Jae-hoon once again warns Ha-jun not to wander off on his own and to obey him alone. With Ha-jun staying by his side, Jae-hoon slowly opens up about the domestic violence and separation he endured as a child—revealing the fear at the heart of his need for control and possession.

Min-woo tells Jae-hoon that he has understood his preferences since childhood, and that he was even willing to become the kind of person Jae-hoon likes. It is also the first time he has seen Jae-hoon maintain such a long-lasting relationship with someone under contract.

Jae-hoon officially ends his physical therapy sessions with Min-woo and openly confesses his feelings for Hae-jun. At the same time, Hae-jun’s drawing lesson with Su-hyeok sparks Jae-hoon’s jealousy, leading to a fierce argument between the two.

Hae Jun feels uneasy about Jae Hoon’s past and decides to put him to the test, pushing him to reveal his true feelings.

Jae Hoon and Hae Jun spend Christmas Eve together, exchanging gifts and confessing their feelings. As the New Year arrives, Jae Hoon’s gift carries an even deeper meaning—revealing the sincerity of his heart.
