After years apart, childhood sweethearts Tita and Pedro are reunited – but a deeply rooted family tradition rocks their plan to marry.

Forced to help prepare for a wedding between her beloved and her sister, a heartbroken Tita throws her emotions into the cake, sparking Nacha’s memories of her own tragic love story with Miguel. Meanwhile, as trouble brews between his father and his friend Juan, Pedro chooses a side.

As the rebels continue their rise, Pedro commits himself to the Revolution, while Gertrudis makes a surprising move of her own. Meanwhile, now living in the same house, Tita and Pedro attempt to steal moments together under Rosaura’s watchful eye.

While tending to a pregnant Rosaura, Tita learns of her sister’s unforgivable betrayal. But when their confrontation devolves into a frightening medical crisis, Tita is forced to put aside her feelings to help her sister. Meanwhile, Pedro finds himself in tricky situations with federal agents and his father.

After Rosaura sends heartbreaking news to the family, Tita not only loses all desire to cook but finally finds the courage to stand up to her mother. Meanwhile, a vindictive Pedro leads Gertrudis and the rest of the revolutionaries into a battle with his uncle, and Elena seizes back her power – with devastating consequences.

As a distraught Tita is slowly brought back to life under the care of Dr. Brown, Pedro sets out to find his beloved.

As life begins anew for Tita, Pedro struggles to find meaning. Mama Elena's condition worsens, while Gertrudis wages a private battle.

As the sisters mourn Mama Elena, Pedro lands in his uncle's crosshairs, and Rosaura sets out to reestablish herself and Las Palomas.

As Rosaura attempts to speed up the wedding, Tita is haunted by her mother, and Pedro learns disturbing truths about his uncle.

While Tita agonizes over whether to lie or tell the truth about her pregnancy, Pedro exposes his uncle's wrongdoings to General Vargas.

As the day of her wedding arrives, Tita must decide once and for all whether her heart belongs to John or Pedro. Meanwhile, Juan finally gains clarity after the showdown with General Múzquiz.
