I Didn't Love You Because I Was a Family, But I Loved You as a Family : Episode 4

Awkward teenager Nanami juggles a chaotic home life with a worrying mother and laid-back brother. A shoplifting scare adds to the chaos.

After Hitomi is hospitalized, Nanami's grandmother Yoshiko arrives to help out. With no one else to rely on, Nanami has no choice but to step up.

Nanami gets into her father's dream university, but when she overhears her mother wish for a family trip, she drops everything to make it happen.

As Hitomi excels in her new role as a counselor, Nanami struggles with setbacks at work and a forgotten promise tied to her father's former colleague.

When Nanami shuts down and can't face work, her easygoing brother steps up, taking her to an amusement park where he proves surprisingly dependable.

Now a writer thriving in Tokyo, Nanami has her life on track — until her mother falls ill and she returns home to find the family in total disarray.

When Yoshiko starts acting strangely, Nanami follows her to Osaka, where a treasure hunt unlocks long-buried memories from her grandmother's past.

Nanami's family essays are a hit, and the Kishimotos join a documentary shoot — where Sota reveals a plan that sends Hitomi into a maternal panic.

On the eve of a family visit, the Kishimotos reflect on years of love and loss, hoping one last ride in Vol-chan can bring them back together.
