Nandi is forced to rely on her own defenses when Phila is released on parole, but a threat to Zinhle's life leaves her feeling more helpless than ever.

Distressed and hospitalized, Zinhle begs to see her mother. In desperation, Vuyo turns to dark solutions hoping to get Nandi's charges dropped.

After finding a damning recording, Zinhle confronts Vuyo about his secrecy around Brenda's death. A friend from prison pays Nandi an unexpected visit.

When Vuyo refuses to cooperate and give in to demands, blackmail drives Nandi to take matters into her own hands, along with Phila's faithful help.

A troubling old flame haunts Jacob's memories. Leonard is forced to make Thuso an offer she can't refuse, after begging her to drop Zinhle's suspension.
